- Ophthalmoscope head with halogen HPX lamp that provides 30% more light output, for true tissue color and consistent, long lasting illumination. Coaxial optical system for shadow free spot and easier entry into undilated pupil. Crossed linear polarizing filter to reduce corneal reflection (use with any aperture setting). Red-free filter for use with any aperture, and 6 aperture settings (micro spot, small, large, fixation, cobalt filter and slit) for a total of 18 possible aperture combinations for greater versatility. Sealed optics for better dust protection. 28 lenses -25 to +40 diopters for better resolution. Rubber brow rest prevents scratching of eyeglasses. Illuminated lens dial clearly identifies setting.
