- Elasto Gel is a bacteriostatic, glycerine-based hydogel dressing. Patented glycerin content will only adhere to dry, healthy intact skin and will not damage newly granulated tissue. (It is only mildly adhesive). a 4x4 inch dressing will absorb in excess of 100 grams of .9 percent saline solution in 24 hours; designed not to damage newly granulated tissue, especially during dressing changes; designed to provide greater conformability, cushioning and padding; does not liquify into the wound; can be cut to conform to hard to dress areas.
