- Some patients are not able to pick up a walker and move it forward with each step. The Guardian 5" walker wheel extensions replace the front legs of the walker and provide the patient the ability to roll the walker forward to avoid having to pick up the walker. The 5" wheel extensions also let the patient increase the height of the walker by up to 7 inches to accomodate a taller user. A pair of extended height rear legs are also provided along with a pair of plastic caps called Glide Caps that attach to the bottom of the rear legs of the walker to enable the rear legs to slide or glide over carpeting, thresholds and other rough terrain. Wheels weigh 1 pound and have a weight capacity of 300 pounds. Wheels fit walkers with 7/8 inch tubing.
