- Glide caps are used with walkers that have wheels on the front legs and allow the rear legs of the walker to easily slide or glide across most surfaces. The glide caps are placed over the rubber tips on the rear legs of the wheeled walker. By using glide brakes the need for the user to lift the rear of the walker with each step is eliminated and mobility is improved for patients that cannot lift the walker due to weakness in the upper body. Glide caps are easily replaced.
