- Rolyan Aquaplast Resting Pan Mitt Splint, Medium, Left. Modifications are quick and simple to make. Can be reheated and reshaped repeatedly. Resists fingerprinting. Transparent while soft for convenience while molding. Fabricated from 1/8 in. (3.2mm) material. Straps not included. Pre-formed resting pan mit splints are ideal for positioning the hand with arthritis or mild hypertonicity. They position the wrist and hand in approximately 10 degrees of wrist extension, 5 degrees of ulnar deviation, 45 degrees of MCP and PIP flexion, and 20 degrees of DIG flexion, with the thumb in 45 degrees of extension midway between radial and palmar abduction. Made from low-temperature thermoplastic materials, these splints can be modified easily for a custom fit. To determine size, measure the width of the 2nd to 5th MCP. Small-up to 3 1/2 in. (8.9cm), Medium-3 1/2 in. - 4 in. (8.9-10.2 cm), Large-over 4 in. (10.2cm).
