The BD Unopette System provides for tests that standardize collecting, pipetting, and diluting micro blood samples. These disposable products feature premeasured, prefilled reagent reservoirs that provide accurate dilutions with minimal handling. The unique, self-filling capillary pipet automatically draws the correct amount of sample without the need for pipetting. The sample is then diluted with the solution in its reservoir to the proper ratio for testing. Each reservoir is equipped with a bullet-shaped shield that protects the pipet and can also be used to puncture the diaphragm to seal in the diluted specimen for storage.
