- Alpha Scientific DIFF-SAFE Blood Dispenser for Blood Smears. DIFF-SAFE blood dispenser eliminates the need to remove the stopper from a tube of blood when making a smear and avoids hazardous release of aerosol pathogens. Blood dispenser also eliminates the use of messy sticks. The easy, two-step procedure using the DIFF-SAFE dispenser reduces the number of steps by two-thirds. Simply insert the cannula through the rubber stopper then turn tube upside down and press against slide. After use, the dispenser can be removed and discarded or left in the stopper and discarded with tube later.
