- Aminophylline is a soluble complex containing approximately 85% theophylline and 15% ethylemediamine. Aminophylline directly relaxes the smooth muscle of the brochial airways and pulmonary blood vessels, thus acting mainly as a bronchodilator, pulmonary vasodilator and smooth muscle relaxant.
